Windows 7 New Features

March 20th, 2010 admin 5 comments

Windows 7 is the latest release of Windows from Microsoft and is released on October 22, 2009. This replaces the Vista that has a problem with the performance, compatibility of devices and annoying / invasive pop-ups, warnings and notifications.

We’ve seen the Release Candidate (RC) and so far, Windows 7 looks great improvement on Vista. Here is a quick tour of some of the features of Windows 7 that we like for sure.

I have better performance. Microsoft seems to have worked hard to solve performance problems that Vista had. Apparently Windows 7 does not appear to be faster and more responsive than its predecessor (Vista).

It has enhanced taskbar. The icons are larger & clearer and easier to work with. They rearrange the icons; the new “Jump List” and a full preview of Aero enabled the open windows, and then make it easier to work with many windows open.  The “Show desktop” button is now more prominent and easier to use. Quickly minimize all windows with the touch of a button.

It also has desktop repairs. No more sidebar there. You can add the “Gadget” quickly and easily directly on your desktop. You can find many themes too. Good-looking new themes contain several high quality backgrounds that periodically rotate (similar to Mac).

March 18th, 2010 admin No comments

I have heard that some people ever get slow shutdown problems in Windows 7. Although sometimes, the installation closed down fine (at around more than a few minutes); then other times it will not close at all, right? The start button does not do anything, as well as Windows Explorer or Task Manager, indeed. Then here I will show you how quickly shouted to Windows 7.

If you look at Windows 7 has suddenly become slow to shutdown, you should first check if a specific program that make your engine slow when you turn off, such as an antivirus program, or driver. You can go to Control Panel> Control Panel All Products> Performance Information and Tools> Advanced Tools (you can find it at top left.)

In addition, for those using Windows 7, they will interfere with the up-up when the computer turned off. It may indicate that there are many programs to shut down. You can direct this will change with the Group Policy Editor. How do you do that? You just go to “Start” -> type “gpedit.msc” and press “Enter” -> Computer configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System -> Shutdown Options -> click on the two times on “Turn off the automatic termination applications that block or cancel” and check “Enable”.
You should also regularly defragment your hard drive. This simple process helps to rearrange the files on the disk to make them always lived in the same place and more easily accessible to, accelerate the speed of shutdown.
