Fantasy Football right around the corner
As we are now in August, I can start smelling the leaves burning, the brats cooking on the grill and the cheers and jeers from those watching what is now our nation’s number one fall activity, following our fantasy football team or teams each week.
I tend to follow my fantasy football action with the help of my satellite tv that I got because of direct tv prices in New York. Is there any other way? Actually, what I like about fantasy football is that it brings people together. My league’s fantasy draft is held the last Sunday in August. It’s ok to be inside a boardroom on a hot August afternoon because this draft is the start of months and months of friendly competition and for the serious player, hard work.
I see guys at our fantasy football draft that I haven’t seen since last year’s draft. Fantasy football is about male-bonding. It doesn’t matter whether you watch the games by yourself in your ‘man cave’ or at the sports bar with a group of fans. Yes there is luck involved, but if you take this seriously and have a plan and the tools and time to research the upcoming season, watching the games on Sunday will be more enjoyable.
